Cover Title

The colours used by the magazine are contrasting colours that will cause the title to stand out, the blue and yellow colours are contrasting causing the yellow to stand out, this also makes the darker images of the band stand out against the blue. I like the colours as well as the band that is on the front cover. The main image stands out against the background causing the reader’s attention if they find the person attractive or know who the person is. The band on the cover are all standing and staring forwards making it seem like they could be looking at you.

As the cover has the all American rejects I would be easily attracted to it as they are one of favourite bands. The main features draw you in through the large image of the band wearing black t-shirts against the light background making them stand out.

The target audience of them magazine would be young adults who are interested in rock and enjoy listening to the genre of music.

The cover consists of a grey background to make the band, who is wearing orange; the contrast of colours attracts the reader’s attention so they are able to see and want to buy the magazine.

The images used are of the all American rejects as the main image at the centre of the page, showing they will be the main topic in the magazine. There is also smaller images at the bottom of the page showing other bands and people that will be in the magazine.

The style of the magazine is quite aggressive as the Kerrang title is all cracked showing it could of ben smashed, showing aggression. This magazine does attract me but I don’t know if I would buy it. Also I would only buy it because I like the band on the cover, the All American Rejects.

I think that the target audience for the magazine would be young adults who are interested in rock music and the all American rejects. The magazine is targeting theses people by using the font and colours as well as the images to generate a cover that would relate to people and their interests.

The main colours used by the cover are black and white; this makes the main image of green day stand out very clearly as their white faces stand out against their black clothes and hair. These colours would possibly attract people to the magazine because of the contrasting colours.

The style does appeal to me because I like the band and the use of colours could cause my eye to be attracted to image and the magazine. The magazine does attract me because of the tittle GREEN Day that clearly stands out against the black jacket. People will also be attracted by the subtitles that have information such as ‘everything YOU wanted to know about the punk megastars’ this will make people want to buy the magazine to read the article.
